NS carpet pics- what a transformation!

Bestselling author Nora Roberts and the Nora Roberts Foundation have made a generous donation to support the launch of Fight for the First, a new advocacy and organizing site with a mission of protecting the First Amendment in libraries across the country. Yah, Nora!

Justin continues to amaze small children, this time with his Will it Hatch program. So glad you've chosen librarianship as your profession, Justin! So glad you've brought your talents to KPL!

Congratulations and many thanks to the Community Programs and Partnerships team for delivering an outstanding 2023 Big Read! If you weren't able to tune into the keynote on Monday, we will have a link shortly to the recording. Brandi did a fabulous job! Don't miss it!

The Northside carpet is progressing, but we have a lull until May 18th when the stack movers arrive. What a difference carpet makes! Northside gets prettier every time I visit!

The NEH grant application for $1 million to create an ADA accessible entrance to Simmons has been submitted.
We've also applied for Library Journal's "Libraries Defying the Odds" award.

Thanks to all of you who have sent me some terrific ideas for fundraising for the new library!

Happy weekend, everyone!
Barb
